1. Necessary cookies, and advertising cookies only if you agree
Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to work or to remember a choice you made; they are always on. Advertising cookies (Meta and Google) are only set if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you click "Reject" or make no choice, none are set and no advertising code is loaded.
2. The cookies we use
- alshamel-group-session: keeps your visit together, for example while you fill in a request form. Deleted after two hours without activity.
- XSRF-TOKEN: protects the forms on this site against misuse by other websites. Deleted after two hours without activity.
- portal_locale: remembers whether you chose Arabic or English. Kept for one year.
- cookie_consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies. Kept for six months, then we ask again.
3. Advertising cookies (only after you accept)
- _fbp and _fbc (Meta Platforms): measure which Facebook and Instagram adverts lead to requests and bookings, and show you our trips again on Meta. Kept for up to 90 days.
- _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics): count visits and which campaigns bring requests and bookings. Kept for up to two years.
- _gcl_au and _gcl_aw (Google Ads): measure which Google adverts lead to requests and bookings. Kept for up to 90 days.
- When you accept and then send a request and pay online, we also tell Meta and Google from our server that a booking was paid, with its amount, and send Meta your email address and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form so it can match the booking to its advert. We never send passport details or documents.
4. Other services
The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them. Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps or our social media pages take you to those services, whose own cookie policies then apply.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, forms and the language choice may not work.
You can change your choice about advertising cookies at any time with the button below; withdrawing removes the advertising cookies this site set and stops any further measurement.
6. Visit statistics
We count how many times each page is viewed, which site or campaign visitors came from and whether they use a phone or a computer. These counts are anonymous totals: no cookie is used and no IP address or other personal data is stored.
